She dances by herself on Beale Street.

She attempts to use complicated new technology (my digital camera).

She parties VIP style with me in Vegas while watching Ludacris by the Palms pool.

She gets arrested in front of the White House protesting the war in Iraq.

She combs her hair with silly wall murals.

She fulfills many of my lifelong dreams, like taking me to see the New Kids on the Block in D.C. for my birthday.

She tells stories to strangers as if they’re her best friends.

She’s always been both beautiful and badass.

And most importantly, she loves me unconditionally, just as I love her.

On our last night in town our organization hosted a final dinner function at The Orange County Mining Co. This picture does it no justice at all. The restaurant has a gorgeous view that overlooks Orange County and LA. It was lovely.

After the dinner, we made a mad dash to Disneyland. Due to their early closing hours during the week, this was our only opportunity to visit Disney (and to use the tickets we purchased before our trip even started). We were determined to at least step foot through the gates.

We finally made it to the park around 10:00 pm and stayed till it was closing up around midnight. The weather was perfect and the lines were short. Just my style. Plus, just two days earlier, the Captain EO 3D movie with Michael Jackson re-opened for the first time since the 1990s. Score!

It’s a small world. The song is still stuck in my head.

The next morning our airport shuttle picked us up very, very early. With only three hours of MUCH needed sleep, we were on our way back to Arkansas. Even so, the adventure was well worth all those yawns on the plane ride home.

After seeing this blog post, I was inspired to put my own twist on “cupcake sandwiches.” Behold the hamburger cupcake!

Party’s over.

The first product that I’m professing my love to was introduced to me as a Christmas gift from my mom. This teal labeled bottle is on the expensive side, but it leaves your hair feeling (and smelling) like you just left the salon with each use. This product, I love.
