Rocksbox Review

So I was recently invited to try out Rocksbox for a few months as an #RBitgirl. For $19 a month subscribers receive a rotating collection of bracelets, necklaces, & earrings (think: Netflix for jewelry). First, you scroll through various pieces of jewelry online, rating them so that the items you receive are tailored to your personal style. A few days later, you receive a cute little package with all your new jewels, info about each piece, and a prepaid return label. Three items are included in each box and you can wear them for as long as you want OR return them as frequently as you want for a fresh batch. You also have the option to purchase any piece at a discount Rocksbox rate. Since I’m not a huge jewelry shopper, but love wearing it if convenient and affordable, I was initially intrigued by the concept. Now after a receiving, returning, and purchasing several items I have to say that I’m kind of in love. One of my most favorite features is that just a couple hours after popping my return in the mailbox, I get an email from Rocksbox that they see I’m returning my set. That means that they are already working on creating my next box the same day I ship my old one back, so the days in between sending and receiving my jewelry are minimal. Weird about wearing jewelry someone else has worn? Don’t be. They sanitize everything and every piece I’ve received looks shiny and brand new.

Want to try? Visit Rocksbox.com and use the code sarahfortunexoxo at check out to receive your first month free (you can cancel at any time).

This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.

Sunday Scenes

70 degrees and sunny. What a perfect Sunday to spend with my girl. Todd spent a bit of the afternoon helping his dad pack some things in a moving van (they just bought a house on a river!), so Iris and I had much of the day to ourselves. We stayed in our pajamas until noon, ate bacon and biscuits, tidied up the house with the windows open, visited a nearby playground, had a little picnic in our backyard, changed outfits four times, and watched a little football (Iris opted for Team Umizoomi). And just like that, it’s time for the work week to begin again.

Here are some scenes from our day.

St. Louis Contest Winner!

I just got word that the winner of the giveaway mentioned over on my St. Louis blog post has been chosen! The kind folks over at ExploreStLouis.com randomly selected a winner from all of the entries collected by participating bloggers – and guess what? The winner is one of my readers! Awww yeah.

Congrats to…
Kelsey Smith!

You’ll be contacted by someone from the St. Louis team shortly about your winnings (a 2-night stay and family fun package featuring gift cards, vouchers to local attractions and more, valued at over $500).

Thanks to everyone for following our #ExploreStLouis journey. Hope you all visit St. Louis soon and love it as much as we did.

Only in September

When I was little and would whine about something not being fair, my dad would tell me, “The fair only comes in September.”

Well, it’s September and here are some photos to prove it.

Last Weekend in August

Hello, September! Normally I am a summer girl. I would take weeks of hot, humid weather over just one frigid day. This summer though, I’m ready for it to end.

I want sweaters. I want Chai lattes. I want want red wine on the front porch while wearing my cozy house-slippers. I want dinners on patios soaking in the golden sun rather than shunning it away. I want to get closer to Christmas and I eventually even want a snow day (but only one).

I want autumn.

Sadly, that’s not in the forecast any time soon. So instead of sitting around and pouting (sweating), I’ll share a few photos from our weekend.
