More Wedding Photos

Here are a few more photos that (most of which our friends & family took). I will probably post more in a few days once the rest of them roll in…

wedding polaroids!

Thought I would go ahead and post the Polaroid portion of our wedding photos. Big thanks to the lovely Erin Abbott for almost all of these shots!

For those of you all who don’t know, we got married in a little old house right next to the University of Arkansas campus. It just so happens to be the house where Bill & Hillary Clinton use to live (and where they were married). Plus, we just so happen to be the first couple to get married there since them, hince all of the Clinton references below and the newspaper article.

Caravans and Cauldrons

Thursday night, Cathy and The Fiances (the name of our do-whop group, if we ever decide to have one) drove over to Little Rock for a night of big rock. American Princes had their CD release show and The Good Fear opened, so us girls decided to follow ’em down. After missing two out of the two interstate exits that we had to take to find the show AND dodging a cracked out guy who persisted that he “was not a robber,” we ladies got there just in time for tequila shots and the begining of the show.

After the show we walked over to this old abandoned house, well, frame of a house. Brian and Tim jumped the fence and explored, while the rest of us just stood back and snapped grainy pictures in the dark. After a 1:30 am trip to Taco Bell, our four-car caravan ended up at a pricey Holiday Inn where with a sink full of Busch Light, things got a little crazy (especially with Cathy’s hair straightener).

All the dudes got their hair did & proceeded to take “MySpace band photos”

The next day we found every kind of food we could imagine at some sort of indoor market downtown. After a nice little picnic by the river, we hunted down a record store, a witch boutique (?), and finally the city’s art museum. By the time we were fully recovered from the night before, we were on our way back to the ‘Ville.

Two Nights

Todd and I have gone out of town the last THREE weekends in a row. I wonder if I will ever get caught up on sleep. I doubt it, but it’s definitely worth it. This past weekend Seth, Todd, & I drove about an hour and a half away from Fayetteville and set up camp (in the dark). We woke up the next day, had the most amazing breakfast next to the campfire, and then around noon 13 more friends met up with us. Camping has never really been my thing, but I’m happy to report that I had a blast.

Once it got later, we decided to take a walk where we happened upon a party lit up by electronic PALM TREES. Of course we invited ourselves right on in where we also discovered two self serve bars and a fuse ball table. A band was about to start up which supposedly featured the brother of a guy from Evenenesence. But once a bongo drum was whipped out, we soon decided to return to our camp.

I went to my very first Razorback football game on Saturday! We bought tickets at the very last minute but somehow ended up on the third row from the field. Todd and I had to walk to the stadium as soon as I got off work, so I didn’t have time to change out of my black shirt and gold dangly earrings. I was kinda disappointed that I didn’t plan ahead and wear a red shirt like every other person in the stands. However, I was ultra disappointed to see that when we got to our seats and looked out in the field that the rivalry team’s colors are, of course, BLACK and GOLD. Boo.

Now it’s Sunday… my one day off of school and work. School by the way is going great. It’s already a lot of work, but most of my classes are at least interesting. Oh and in other news, my mom and step-dad just bought a house in Memphis (they’ve decided to leave DC). It’s a big, yet cozy, old house over by Rhodes, but the best part is that it comes w/ a hot tub inside a screened-in porch. All in all I’m just excited to have my mom in my home town again.
