Christmas 2010 in Photos

Christmas has come and gone
and all that’s left are
the few million photos below
the lovely gifts I received
and the tree in the living room
that I’m too lazy to take down.

Sadly, the holidays mean that
some friends go out of town.
GL and I got in the Christmas spirit
before she jetted off to Los Angeles.

We celebrated with
cheap champagne
torturing our dogs
and a Christmas party with friends.

Happily, the holidays also mean
that out of town friends pass through Fville.
This often works out perfectly
for Todd’s oh-so-close-to-Christmas Birthday.

We stuck with tradition
and made reservations at Logan’s Roadhouse.
Years ago it started off as a joke,
but then we realized
how good those dang rolls are.

We ended up at a random bar
The Elixir Lounge…
in the Comfort Inn.
We heard they turned an old room
into a bar & had to check it out.

One of the best things
about this Christmas
was that I got to spend it
with my momma
and our family dog, Henry.
For the first time
in four years.

Christmas 2010

We couldn’t wait
and traded gifts early.
Todd and I received s
Special Edition Keurig Coffee Maker
and Hotel Collection Egyptian Cotton Sheets.

She gave me other goodies too,
like these Memphis treats.

Todd and I decided
to do some upgrading
as our presents to each other.

The most exciting is…
we got a new camera!

And we both upgraded
to the iPhone 4.

On Christmas Eve
we all headed to Tulsa

One of the best parts about our trip to Tulsa,
was Todd’s sister’s present to their dad.
She’s pregnant and surprised him
with an ultrasound picture…
that told him she is having a BOY!

Christmas 2010

A very Merry Christmas, indeed.
Hope yours was too.

Christmas 2010

I’ll leave you with my favorite Christmas song.
It pretty much sums up my southern childhood holidays.
In the best way ever, of course.

“Merry Christmas from the Family”
Robert Earle Keene

A Few Months Worth

Ah, it’s been so long since I’ve made a real update. So what have I been doing? Good question.. let’s see.. there was Christmas in Memphis, Todd’s birthday, a roller skating party, the beginnings of wedding planning, winter break (which is just about over, but at least I’m technically now a college senior), the take over of Guitar Hero, Bittersweet Styles becoming even better thanks to working w/ Todd, oh and so much more. I should just let the pictures do the talking… (btw – now you can click the images if ya want to see them bigger).

We got a new camera for Christmas and it’s amazing.

New Years!

autographed Justin Timberlake shirt I got for xmas from Cory & Karen!

We rented out the roller rink & played dress up.

Winter in Fayetteville

Christmas in Memphis

The Buccaneer

Striped shirts only.

Gus’s Fried Chicken

Saw my little sister & the rest of the fam in Jonesboro

Just a few from the last week or so..

While I was in Memphis I went through some old photographed & scanned some of my favorites.

This is when my friends and I stood in line to meet Jonathan Brandis, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago. I remember we were upset because we had to pay $5 for this Polaroid and not only was he licking his lips mid-flash, but there’s a big finger print on it too. My mom, however, was upset because I got him to autograph my blue jeans. I totally wore them to school the next day… hopefully not with that purple silk shirt in this picture though.

Speaking of my mom, I also found my favorite old photos of her:

That’s all for now, except for one last picture of a junior high dork:

Byeee!

T-shirt Weather

Last year I spent Christmas in snowy New York City and Washington D.C. This year however, I spent it in Memphis for the first time in five years. I got lots of amazing gifts from my amazing friends and family. Thanks to everyone!!

And as soon as I’m not sick,
I’m going on a shopping (and eating) spree…

While in Memphis..

Kristen Deets (a friend since the 6th grade) was in town fron NYC

Spent time w/ my step-sister Roxanne who was in town from D.C.
(I totally stole this picture from you Rox)

Chilled w/ “Ryan Gosling” at the Hi-Tone

For the very few of you who don’t know about Graceland Too..

There’s this guy, Paul McLeod, who lives in Holly Springs, MS and is a complete Elvis FREAK. He has devoted his entire house to Elvis and gives tours of it 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I’ve been twice before (once at 2 am on Easter). The tour lasts waaay too long at almost 2 hours. He gets going and just doesn’t stop talking. Almost everything that comes out of his mouth are obvious, random lies all dealing with celebrites and millions of dollars. All the while, his dentures are pretty much just dangling from his gums. The tour was complete with him singing Jail House Rock, dancing a little jig, and showing us his home-aid electric chair in the carport.

The gold suit he will be buried in:

Even the ceilings are coated in craziness.

That’s him…

He has pictures of everyone that’s ever taken the tour.

He likes TV?

Shaking his hips like Elvis.

Mom.. about to kill me for taking her there.

And what does an electric chair have to do with Elvis?

We survived!

Last, but not least:
+ Happy Birthday to Todd (Dec. 23rd) & Michelle (today)!
+ Congrats to my best friend Kerri who got engaged to Joel right before Christmas!
+ Congratulations to Brandy & Dustin who also got engaged over the holiday!
