Ozark Couture & Snoop Dogg

Last Saturday I had the honor of wearing
some very purty designs by my
friend,
hairdresser,
and now clothing designer,
Taylor Sutton
for the first ever Ozark Couture fashion show .

I swear, her fingers are
like ten tiny magic wands.
She is so creative with
everything
she puts her hands on.
Literally.
From my hair,
to the dress I wore last Saturday,
the girl is so talented in what she does.
Oh and she’s pretty fun to hang out with too.

We spent the afternoon back at the salon,
the early evening at Ozark Couture
(which featured even more creative local talent),
and the rest of the night out on Dickson.

Below are photos from myself,
as well as some amazing black & white film shots taken by
Bob Cochran, the brother of one of my fellow models.

The entire day/night was a blast.

Fayetteville’s awesomeness can surprise you sometimes.
From the fashion show on Saturday,
to the Snoop Dogg concert on Sunday,
this weekend was jam packed of fun.

After hearing the classic “Gin & Juice”
at the Snoop Dogg concert,
I headed home because I wasn’t feeling very well.

If I had stayed around,
I could have met Snoop
(and Ryan Mallett)
like my girls GL & Brandy did…

I’m pretty sure
Ryan Mallett and GL
make quite the couple.
Just sayin.

Here’s to another amazing weekend
and another million photos!

Thirty? Thirty.

This was the year.
The year that I crossed over.
To the dark side.
And into my thirties.

I must admit,
I had been dreading it
all through my 29th year.

Now that I’ve made the leap
and joined the club,
I have to say
that the countdown
was the hard part
and now I’m actually
excited about 30.

I seriously celebrated
all week.
But here are some photos
from just Friday night.

We went to the
Ozark Corn Maze
and then out on the town.

Thank you to everyone
for such a warm welcome
to the big 3-0!

GL(who’s a high school teacher)
had her class make me this poster.
So cute!
And quite hilarious
when you read it up close.

Pretty Weekend

It’s Sunday, so that means it’s time for three things:
Take out from Slim Chicken’s
a Lifetime movie marathon
& a weekend recap blog post.

Friday night we took it easy and doggysat our friends’ dog, Bowsie. This crazy little creature is a Bichon and Pug mix that was rescued by Bryan and Jenny and is quite a looker (and licker).

Sadie had a blast with her slumber party pal, but was a bit confused about it all.

4.24.2010

Saturday morning was pretty lazy, but by noon Todd and I were off to do some thrifting and to see some glass blowing in the country. Todd’s stepdad, Ed, runs Red Fern Glass, a hot glass studio where he makes gorgeous chandlers, sculptures, and more. He has an annual Glass Blow Out around this time every year and this one marked the 25th anniversary of Red Fern Glass. Of course the art is amazing, but so is his property.
