HELLO
Mom to Iris. Wife to Todd. Our little family lives at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We love it here and I love sharing little bits of our life.

Alabama Arkansas

It was a day that we counted down to for months.
It was a game that we should have won.
Sadly, it was a game that we lost.

Despite the immense disappointment
the excitement that surrounded the game
was incredible.

Here’s the fun we had
supporting our Hogs.
Win or lose.

The excitement invaded the whole weekend.
With friends in from out of town
and a party at Jill & Ben’s.

And on to the game!
Woke up bright & early
to eat sausage balls
and tailgate.
With Hogs Guy.

Meet Hogs Guy.
And his intense love for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Todd & most of my friends
went to the game.
But a few of us girls
walked over to Smoke & Barrel
to eat our cupcakes, drink a beer, & watch it on the big screen.

(no. 1) Getting Married

This top ten list is in no particular order, but I just can’t help but start with my wedding day.

I was never the girl who dreamed of the perfect wedding day, but the moment I first saw Todd playing on stage with Lucero, I whispered in my girlfriend’s ear, “I’m going to marry that guy.” A few years later, my very first thought was confirmed. After a couple years of dating, Todd proposed to me in Eureka Springs. Thanks to the support of our amazing family and friends, we were able to have a wedding that truly fit us. Isn’t that what it’s all about, anyway? Our “ultra casual” wedding (as the invite states) was my favorite day of the decade, if not my life.

I love September.

I have been insane-o busy lately with school. Besides my fourth semester of German (ich bin nicht gut), I am taking all upper level journalism courses that are very time consuming. On top of that, it’s finally time to start working on my senior paper.

Fantasy Football is also attempting to take over the few free hours that I do have. So far I lost my first match up, but it’s still crazy addictive. I can’t complain though, I did choose one guy because his last name is McAlister and I love love love to eat at McAlister’s. Anyways, go team Cuddly Kittens!

Next week I’ll be in Key West for Katie’s wedding and then a few weeks after that Laura & I are going to Vegas. I can’t wait for either trip, especially since I missed out on the big adventure to Kansas City this weekend. Somewhere in-between Florida and Nevada I turn a year older too. So not fun anymore.

I have a few exciting things to report…

+ Bittersweet Styles was in the newspaper a couple days ago in California.
You can read the full article here.

+ We were also featured on my friend Jazzi’s fashion blog!
Jazzi is a stylist in LA/NY who is also a contributer for Teen Vogue (at almost age 27, one of my major guilty pleasures).

+ Laura & I did a fun little photoshoot for Mason’s for this month’s issue of Citiscapes…

+ Of course I have more wedding photos to share as well. I’m just going to post a few of my favorites because I uploaded all of them on my Flickr account a while back.

+ I’ll end with some photos from lately…

Too cute…
