hi hi hello spring

The weather is slowly but surely trying to change over into spring, so it’s time to shed these winter photos that have been building up for way too long. As you can tell from the first photo, I finally received my long awaited diploma! I guess this post sort of shows what I’ve been doing with my time now that there’s no more school for me. There’s no rhyme or reason to the order, but I’ll try to explain along the way. Oh and just click on a photo for a bigger view.

One cute Sadie. Love her.

My family came to visit!
My baby sister Lilah & me.

Fashion show for Mason’s. Karen, Gina, & me.

Glam rock birthday party

New Years Eve in Kansas City
We had a murder mystery dinner the night before & fully took advantage of the costume part. I was Marilyn Merlot.

Kickin New Years Eve off with a get together at Seth’s loft.

Watch the ball drop at Aaron & Bev’s lovely home (thanks again for everything ya’ll)!
We kept our celebration small, but the night was filled with dancing, champagne, and makin bets.
So much fun.

My favorite animals on the planet.

Todd’s 31st birthday & a shot made by Cathy.

Jonathan & Lacy’s island themed wedding celebration

Sisters Sadie & Olive had their first birthday!
Like the loving parents that we are, we threw them a dog party on campus complete w/ cake from a local dog bakery.

If you can’t tell from my lack of updates, I’ve been super busy lately. I’m halfway through my internship at Walton Arts Center and I absolutely love it. It’s only part time, so I devote the rest of my life to Bittersweet Styles. Plus I get to do hands-on fun stuff. One of my jobs is to write about upcoming events & this month I have an article published in CitiScapes magazine. It’s kind of long, but click on the scans below if ya wanna read all about the art of cirque!

That’s all for now..

Luv,
Sarah

Startin Off Right

The weather has officially shifted from chilly to perfect & we’ve been taking full advantage of it. The front of our house has gotten a makeover, lots of playing with our new pup, get-togethers with friends, lots of wedding celebrations, & even a lil’ picnic on campus Sunday afternoon. Here are a few shots from the last week (just click ’em to enlarge).

I went to my very first Razorback football game on Saturday! We bought tickets at the very last minute but somehow ended up on the third row from the field. Todd and I had to walk to the stadium as soon as I got off work, so I didn’t have time to change out of my black shirt and gold dangly earrings. I was kinda disappointed that I didn’t plan ahead and wear a red shirt like every other person in the stands. However, I was ultra disappointed to see that when we got to our seats and looked out in the field that the rivalry team’s colors are, of course, BLACK and GOLD. Boo.

Now it’s Sunday… my one day off of school and work. School by the way is going great. It’s already a lot of work, but most of my classes are at least interesting. Oh and in other news, my mom and step-dad just bought a house in Memphis (they’ve decided to leave DC). It’s a big, yet cozy, old house over by Rhodes, but the best part is that it comes w/ a hot tub inside a screened-in porch. All in all I’m just excited to have my mom in my home town again.
