HELLO
Mom to Iris. Wife to Todd. Our little family lives at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We love it here and I love sharing little bits of our life.

Sauced

Lord.
Have.
Mercy.
On my belly.

Wingathon

This past Saturday
I spent a full
eight hours
eating hot wings.
And drinking beer.

It was a very tough job,
but somebody had to do it.
Fayetteville Flyer‘s Flyer Foodie
collected a few fine folks
and led us on an adventure to find
Fayetteville’s best hot wing.

We did this last year
with the quest to find
Fayetteville’s best taco.

Tacothon 2009

Tacothon

Tacothon

Wingathon 2010
consisted of ten restaurants
with two different wings at each location.
Exhausting, delicious, and messy.
Just my style.

I’ll link to the results
once they’re published,
but for now here’s our journey
in 140 pictures or less.

The girls rode in the way back.

Wingathon

Even though there was no need to.

Wingathon

First stop,
Louie’s.

Second stop,
Buffalo Wild Wings.

World Cup fans
out in full force.

Headed to Wingstop.

Next up,
Slim Chickens
.

Wingathon

Wingathon

Risked our lives.
Running across College Avenue
to Foghorn’s
.

Wingathon

The day (and food babies)
started to drag us down.
It was just halfway over.

Next on the list
was my personal fave,
JJ’s Grill-N-Chill
.
I had never been here before,
but the wings were great,
the margaritas were two bucks,
and the girls all wore cowboy boots.
Which all helped us get
our second wind.

From there, we just walked
across the way to Boar’s Nest.

Where our drinks came in
Mason jars.

By this time a few of us were were
feeling just a little silly.
So we made a pit stop in Dollar General
And the laundry mat.
Duh.

Finally at Lucky Luke’s.

Xaxby’s was second to the end.
And boy were we excited.

Wingathon

Our final stop
was on Dickson

(either genius or worst idea ever)
at the lovely Hog Haus Brewing Co.

Wingathon

Where we drank blueberry beer.
And continued to act silly.

Wingathon

It was quite a day,
which led to quite a night
given our ending spot
right on bar row.

We rolled (literally) to Kingfish
where we watched Razorback baseball
with a couple friends.

Wingathon

We didn’t win.
As if you couldn’t tell from
their faces.

Somehow,
before the night was done,
I was able to fit in
frozen yogurt from Orange Mango.

Wingathon

Orange Mango.

Great.
Now I’m hungry for frozen yogurt.
And hot wings.
